Pooling together the talents of Bengali-speaking actors and backstage artists in Atlanta, the group "Just Natak" fills a void felt by many Bengalis who miss the varied and wonderfully vibrant theatre scene back home in West Bengal and Bangladesh. Bengali theatre or "Natak" is an integral part of modern Bengali culture, and "Just Natak" – so named to aptly describe the purpose of this group, which has no specific religious, political or social orientation – strives to present at least one full-length play each year at professional theatrical venues.
